Dr. Tyler A. Cannon
Born in Memphis and graduated from Memphis University School and Rhodes College, Dr. Tyler A. Cannon completed his medical school training at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and his orthopedic surgery residency at the Campbell Clinic. After residency, Dr. Cannon then finished his hand and microsurgery fellowship at the University of Southern California.
Recent research involves muscle-sparing techniques for wrist fracture fixation, operative versus nonoperative treatment of elderly wrist fractures, and the use of platelet-rich plasma in upper extremity tendon disorders.
Dr. Cannon is currently a faculty member for medical students at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
As a father of two children with his wife Lauren, Dr. Cannon enjoys spending most of his time with his family. He is an avid outdoorsman throughout the year and stays active with many athletic and community events.
