Dr. Sam Schroerlucke
Dr. Schroerlucke attained his bachelors degree from Furman University. After college, he played professional tennis for two years before starting medical school at the Medical College of Georgia. After graduating from medical school, he stayed in Augusta, GA to complete his orthopaedic surgery residency at the Medical College of Georgia. He subsequently completed a spine surgery fellowship at the San Diego Center for Spinal Disorders in San Diego, CA where he was exposed to a wide variety of complex pediatric and adult spinal conditions.
He has presented and published numerous research projects on topics such as early onset scoliosis, adult spinal deformities and minimally invasive spinal techniques. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, North American Spine Society and an associate member of the Scoliosis Research Society. He currently is especially interested in complex spinal reconstructions and minimally invasive spinal surgery.
Dr. Schroerlucke enjoys spending time with his wife Brannon and four children. He enjoys tennis, cycling, surfing and water skiing.
